Walloon Lake Inn

When SludgeHammer inventor Dan Wickham first came out to Michigan for an installation of his ABG technology he surprised his client by literally carrying a full strength commercial wastewater treatment system as baggage on a commercial airline flight. Owner of the renowned Walloon Lake Inn, Dave Beiers, was frustrated to see his leach bed nearly full to the tops of his monitoring wells. Years of dinners at his 85 seat restaurant along with discharge from his 8 hotel rooms, his home, and five nearby cottages, had finally killed his drainage bed.

He became a firm supporter of the boys at SludgeHammer Group, Ltd. when he saw the water level start to drop in his leachbed, even as he entered his heaviest summer use period. We recently upgraded him to the new SludgeHammer as thanks for his many fabulous dinners at the Inn. The only questionable item was his “Freshwater Shrimp Bisque". He got a little too excited when he saw that the water in his septic/grease trap was so clean that miniature Daphnia shrimp were now thriving in his tank.
