AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO REGULATORS.
Some people have been representing the SludgeHammer simply as a Pirana with a different name.
This is a mistake. Allow me to clarify:
The SludgeHammer is the direct descendent of the first Aerobic Bacterial Generator, originally marketed as the Pirana. I created the concept of a bacterial generator for septic tanks. I was the co-inventor of the Pirana in 2000, and share the patents with my then associate Jerome Fife.
It was my wish to create an ABG that could do more than simply remediate leach fields. To make that happen, in 2004 I left Pirana and created the SludgeHammer.
The SludgeHammer’s greatly improved diffusers provide finer bubbles and deliver air more efficiently. This extends the life of the air pumps and lowers energy costs. My new bacterial blend (patent #5,531,898) increases the power of the microbial inoculum. In addition, improved body design provides for easier cleaning and maintenance. Finally, changes in flow patterns keep sludge from building up in the device.
The SludgeHammer is the ONLY device listed with IAPMO under their Uniform Plumbing Code IGC180-2003. Any claims by other versions to UPC approval are easily dispelled by checking the IAPMO website.
The Sludgehammer is available exclusively through certified dealer/installers. They are trained by SludgeHammer Group, and are required to carry maintenance agreements with all customers.
The Sludgehammer is not sold direct to homeowners. Nor will you find it on eBay, or for purchase over the internet. The unit, along with its installation and maintenance, is a package.
We are accustomed to working with regulators of all the states to insure consumers get what they pay for.
Our business practices, philosophy, and design principles set the SludgeHammer apart from the Pirana -- or from any other copycat ABG.
